The upper roller of the two-roll bending machine is a metal rigid roller, and the lower roller is an elastic roller covered with high-strength polyurethane material, which can be adjusted vertically. When the lower roller rotates, the upper roller and the feeding sheet are pressed into the elasticity of the lower roller under the action of pressure, so that the lower roller is elastically deformed. However, because the elastic volume remains unchanged, the pressure is transmitted to all sides, resulting in a high-strength, uniformly distributed, and continuous back pressure that forces the sheet to continuously adhere to the rigid roller, with the purpose of making it roll into a cylindrical shape as it rotates. The depth of the upper roll pressed into the lower roll, the deformation of the elastic layer, is the main process parameter that determines the bending radius formed. According to the experimental research, the larger the reduction, the smaller the bending radius of the sheet metal, but when the indentation reaches a certain value, the bending radius tends to be stable, and it has almost nothing to do with the reduction. This is a double-roll bending machine process.
